I found a way to reproduce this on a public URL using a public demo Grafana dashboard, but this doesn't happen in a new Clean Profile:

If we start with: https://play.grafana.org/goto/ODGGaYhHR?orgId=1

Multiple actions trigger this, but everything in the Grafana UI should be updating in realtime without page refreshes. But different actions trigger a full page refresh.

One notable on this example page is by clicking and changing the time range:

If we click this and change the value, we can see it does a full page refresh which is pretty jarring. Attached is a screen recording:

This does not happen in Safari or Firefox, the exact same process does not trigger a full page refresh, or a clean profile. So I'm not sure how to track down what is wrong with my configuration.

macOS Sequoia 15.3.2

This is even more odd. It appears to only happen in one of my windows. In my setup, I use a few "saved windows", and it only exhibits the issue in my one called "main" with approx 40ish tabs give or take.

I could not recreate this on any other window, or different profiles. But it seems most of my odd redirect behaviors I think come down to this one window in a bad state somehow?

I even had trouble posting this comment since the page would refresh away.

To add, this seems to just get into very bizarre redirect loops on a lot of dynamic loading websites, I get into some broken states on github.com at times, OAuth redirects fail with weird errors in the middle of the chain, etc. But I'm observing they are all in this single window, and is fine in others.

I even can get some pages that are trying to make XHR requests and edit content on the page into seemingly some infinite loop and I need to force quit Orion to get it responsive again.

Ok, this is even more odd.

This only does this behavior in one of my windows in my "Default" profile, but doesn't happen in any others. I have a few "saved windows" in my setup, and I have a "main" one with 40

So I was able to duplicate the window using the built in feature that I just learned existed:

And this new duplicated window does experience the bizarre behaviors yet! I have just duped, deleted the old one, and this one has been fine.

Wow, that's indeed strange. I tried it, and everything is working as expected.
I'll pass the information on to the developers anyway. Thanks!

Yannick Very strange indeed. I pretty consistently get this, and the browser can actually lock up, I assume, from being in an infinite redirect loop. I get this at random times, and my solution is now to just duplicate the window, or just open that link in a new window entirely, and it's fine.

This seems to happen just very randomly across any website that redirects, sometimes it'll just get into a similarly broken state.
