Add an on/off setting to, by default, open all links within the Orion browser and do not launch an external app. Sometimes I intentionally want to use my browser app, such as Orion, and not navigate away to external apps even if I have them installed (apps like YouTube, Reddit, or instagram). Reasons include privacy or wanting to easily have separate sessions (one in app, one in browser).

Currently, tapping on links seems to always open the associated app if it is installed on my device. Loosely connected existing settings seem to be aimed at further emphasizing opening links in their related apps.

Although this request can be technically currently achieved by long pressing on the link that tries to launch an app, and then selecting the “open in new tab” option, this is cumbersome and an annoyance as I personally always want to stay in the browser app when using the browser app, thus a setting to change the default tap behavior would be optimal.

The user should be able to go to their Orion app settings, and toggle on/off an option to block opening external apps.

This feature exists in the settings of the Firefox iOS app and I find it very useful.

When enabled, tapping on links will always stay in the browser app. When disabled, tapping on links will attempt to open the related app if it is installed.
