Fill the address bar with the top autosuggestion

When typing a URL in the address bar, it would be nice to have the top result of the autosuggestions automatically be filled so we don't have to press an extra input with down arrow.

I believe this is how it works in almost all major browsers, definitely on Chrome and Safari. I am not sure how the final feature would work in terms of multiple autosuggestion sources (I only use the history one for example). There would have to be a decision regarding whether Orion will allow other sources to also be included in this or not.

I found out that pressing tab instead of the down arrow is an easier solution but I still think mimicking the behaviour of Chrome/Safari would make things easier.

I'm not sure I understand what you want...
We agree that Orion already displays suggestions based on a URL while typing, right?

on Safari or Chrome the behaviour is as in the following image:

after typing "ori" or the start of a URL the top result is already selected and I can just press enter and go to the website.

However, currently in Orion the behaviour is different where the suggestions are displayed but pressing enter immediately just runs a search instead of taking me to the top result.

I understand that this is a preference since Chrome/Safari behaves like in the first picture whereas Firefox actually behaves like what Orion does currently. I believe an option would be nice if the feature gets implemented.
