Microphone not working properly in GMeet

So far, on my Apple M1 MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.6.1, I haven't been able to get Orion to pick up microphone input when on GMeet even after definitely confirming that I granted the Orion app permissions to access the microphone in the Mac's Settings app and making sure I was unmuted during the call. This just works seamlessly on Chrome. I know Google is slightly anti-competitive in this area; for example, in all other major browser but Chrome I can only share windows in GMeet but Chrome allows you to share individual tabs and without knowing the details I totally blame Google for that because I lack trust in that area. However, getting the microphone to work should be possible across all browsers.

I expected the others on the call to be able to hear me.

Hey,

The thing is, we all use Google Meet all day with Orion, so I assure you that's not an issue 😉
However, several people have already pointed out that there's a problem when selecting the input source. Is that it?

Have you tried compatibility mode just in case?

Very odd, I tried it again today and it just worked
