Steps to reproduce: compare the behaviour of the back swipe gesture between these two scenarios (tested on both ios and ipados):
- Navigate to any site
- Long press > open in background
- Swipe back
Versus:
- Navigate to any site
- Don't long press, just press directly on a link to go there
- Swipe back
Expected: the behaviour between these 2 scenarios should be the exact same, and they indeed are the same on safari.
Actual: they're not. Tab opened in background is more "resistant" to actually performing the action, if that makes any sense.
See video for difference in the gestures. Reproduced in both ios and ipados, but it was easier to record my ipad with phone than the other way around.
Orion version 1.3.18, ios 18
There's still a bunch of these gesture bugs around, I definitely notice that I fail a lot of gestures compared to safari where I never fail gestures. Glad I found the reproduction for at least one of the cases though, it was infuriating that gestures would randomly break (still is, but at least I know why now).
