ICloud Passwords Extension Not Working on macOS Sequoia 15.4 beta

Just updated to Sequoia 15.4 and the issue is there - click on the menu bar icon and I get the dialog to enter the verification code but no code is displayed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the firefox version of the extension and it still doesn't work.

In Edge it works as expected.

I am using Orion RC Version 0.99.132.1-rc (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)

I am also occasionally receiving a dialog that says the extension requires Sonoma or later (screen shot attached)

Confirming that iCloud Passwords no longer works at all after updating to macOS 15.4

Disabled the extension and using macOS Passwords for now

The extension isn't working on Dia, the new browser from the same company as Arc. However, it does work on Arc. Assuming the company hasn't made significant underlying changes, the issue likely stems from Apple's identification of the browser in macOS 15.4.

Apple really should put effort into improving the extension experience instead of locking it up. 1Password did a way better job on this. 😓

Megabits to be fair, it's an unsupported use of their extension, which is only supported on Chrome and Firefox. In a way, they are improving the experience by making it more secure. 😆

The extension is now working on macOS Sequoia 15.5. Thank you to everyone who notified the Apple team about this issue.

Seems to be working for Orion but not for Orion RC on my system.

Orion RC Version 0.99.133.2.1-rc (WebKit 622.1.9.19.2) and Orion Version 0.99.133-beta (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)

Yep – going through /System/Volumes/Preboot/Cryptexes/App/System/Library/CoreServices/PasswordManagerBrowserExtensionHelper.app/Contents/MacOS/PasswordManagerBrowserExtensionHelper shows that RC is not yet in the whitelist:

I'd imagine this is going to happen in a forthcoming update.

It should work now(not the RC but the normal one). It does ask for the code every time the browser is opened, but that's normal behavior.
